How to measure the transmittance of PC diffusion plates

1. Pc diffusion plates are inexpensive, convenient, and portable in lighting appliances. However, due to the interference of external natural light, the measured values are generally higher. This instrument is only suitable for reference comparison and cannot be used as an accurate instrument.

2. Transmission haze tester: The Pc frosted diffusion plate is less affected by external factors, so the test results are lower and more accurate than the illuminometer. Generally speaking, diffuser manufacturers use this instrument to test the transmission haze of their products.

3. Integration sphere: The integration sphere measures the transmittance of the diffusion plate very accurately and is almost unaffected by external environmental interference, so the data obtained from testing the same plate is lower than the above two. Due to the high cost of instruments, only large lighting companies use this equipment to measure transmittance. (Note: Factors such as the size, placement position, distance from the probe, and angle between the probe and the light source of the integrating sphere can all affect the test result).

4. Light intensity distribution: The light intensity distribution is an indicator tool for whether a lamp has commercial value, as it is the only optical integrity test for all one-on-one lamps through its use. Some of the other tools above are only measurements of light molecules or definitions of a substance. Whether adding this material to this lamp meets the requirements of the International Lighting Association can only be measured by it.
